Chennai Super Kings pacer is set to join the Indian squad ahead of the 4th Test scheduled at Manchester. India first lost the services of Arshdeep Singh due to a cut on his bowling finger, which he suffered during a net session.

Reportedly, Arshdeep was expected to make his debut in the 4th Test if Bumrah was rested, but his injury has sidelined him from this match.

Akash Deep’s Hip Injury Puts His Participation in Doubt Ahead of Test

Akash Deep is the next pacer in line, but he has been nursing a hip injury, which could also rule him out of this Test, according to reports. After bowling to Harry Brook in the 2nd innings of the Lord’s Test, Akash was seen walking with discomfort.

He left the field while Bumrah and Siraj bowled their fair share of overs. Now, he is being assessed to see if he will be fit to participate in the match.

Anshul Kamboj Poised for Debut as Potential Replacement Ahead of Fourth Test

Anshul Kamboj was added to the squad and may make his debut if Akash Deep misses this Test due to injury. Anshul, who had a great IPL season with Chennai Super Kings and a strong domestic performance, earned a spot in the India A squad.

Kamboj impressed by bowling just over 3 runs an over in two of three innings where he bowled more than 10 overs, taking 5 wickets and also scoring an unbeaten 51 with the bat. His performance has earned the approval of several experts.
