Lucknow Super Giants pacer Prince Yadav took three wickets in six matches in IPL 2025. His wickets were Travis Head from Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nehal Wadhera from Punjab Kings and Will Jacks from Mumbai Indians.

Interestingly, all his wickets were bowled. Over time, he went on to become a yorker specialist, delivering pinpoint yorkers with batting having no answer to his accuracy.

His debut match for LSG against SRH is still very close to Prince Yadav, who still has butterflies in his stomach thinking about the match. The pacer came into the spotlight in last year’s DPL and managed to get a contract for LSG in IPL 2025.

Prince Yadav's Maiden Wicket In IPL

He has hailed Rishabh Pant, the LSG skipper for playing a crucial role in his cricketing journey so far. He spoke about how Pant taught him to handle pressure situations well.

"Rishabh Pant always guided me. He often told me that in pressure situations, you should never let the pressure get to you and must always find a way out. The quicker you learn to handle pressure, the faster you will grow," Prince told Times Of India.
"Whenever I felt doubt or pressure at any point, I would talk to him and he would immediately clear it for me. He knows how to bounce back. Even if he wasn't performing at times, he never let it affect the team or himself. He kept the same bonding with everyone, the same energy, and always stayed positive," he further said.

Got To Learn A Lot From Rishabh Bhai - Prince Yadav

Prince Yadav had a memorable DPL season last year, where he took 13 wickets in 10 matches. That followed with him ending up as Delhi’s highest wicket-taker in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy with 11 wickets in six matches at an average of 22. Prince recalled his first meeting with Pant during DPL 2024 and how it gave him goosebumps.

"Every day we wake up to learn something new. Recently, I got to learn a lot from Rishabh bhai. My first interaction with him was during the first match of Purani Dilli 6, where he was the captain. After the match, I spent almost the whole night sitting with him. I learnt many things from that experience. He was quite impressed with me, and later I got more opportunities," Prince recalled.

Prince Yadav Was Picked Up By LSG For 30 Lakhs

He also spoke about how the Super Giants were keen to pick him after his trials and the way the franchise supported him. The pacer was roped in by LSG for 30 lakhs in the IPL 2025 auction.

"Two or three franchises had called me for trials, but LSG picked me. My trials went well almost everywhere, but the support I got from LSG was immense. I had been a net bowler with them earlier, and that helped me a lot” he concluded saying.
